Sometimes I have really craved a floral fragrance that I can spray whenever I feel a little bit flat or tired; a radiant floral lei to lift my spirits and encircle me in a translucent bouquet of bliss. So, I created East; a softly luminous veil of exotic flowers to remind me of the beautiful traditions of many Asian cultures where flowers are reverently placed as offerings to the sacredness and the preciousness of life-in-nature.
East is a sheer floral amber perfume featuring white lotus, ginger lily absolute, tiare (Tahitian gardenia), ylang ylang, vanilla tincture, amber accord and Virginian cedarwood.
Although the ‘weight’ of the fragrance is quite airy and light, East’s longevity, sillage and radiance are calibrated to be just right. A perfect fragrance to wear in shared space, as it will never intrude upon or overwhelm others beyond a delicate brush with joy. For you, it will be a silken shawl of personal splendour, one that trails gently in your wake leaving others feeling …. just inexplicably, momentarily happier.
East features the combined luxury of my two favourite hand-blended tinctures:- the very last of my ylang ylang and vanilla planifolia beans. These wondrously compatible elements are perfectly grounded by my signature amber accord.
The vanilla used in this fragrance is deeply rich and earthy, a natural vanilla, and definitely not the sickly sweet synthetic vanilla used in so many mainstream commercial fragrances.
